Productive School is a strategy that seeks to increase retention and generate income to benefit the entire educational community: students, parents and teachers. It consists in designing and implementing productive pedagogical projects which are linked to the educational institution with relevant and sustainable production chaining in their area of influence.
Each institution designs an educational component that is relevant to a particular production project, including upgrading or adaptation of texts teaching and study materials, or designing them. On the other hand designing a roadmap for strengthening the teaching culture, taking into account the economic context of the region as the Municipal Development Plan.
Each school chooses a productive project which in turn is connected to one or more links in a chain or mini productive chain identified as viable and suitable for agricultural or agro-industrial vocation of its area of influence. The productive project includes criteria of integration of students (no children under 15 years old) and teachers selected to the productive chain, an annual work plan related to the corresponding grades (giving priority to work with Grades 8 to 11 °) and a product marketing plan related to their career of choice, including a detailed system of management of surpluses which will benefit the entire educational community.
